RusRisk

n today’s Russia, advanced risk management is experiencing the same ups and downs as elsewhere in the world. RusRisk is actively involved in international processes, and we are concerned with the same problems and we are seeking and promoting solutions in the frontier areas of science and practice. Invited by RusRisk, best experts in risk management, such as Mr. Kevin W. Knight, Mr. Gert Cruywagen and others, visited Moscow to present their reports and give master classes. Every year, RusRisk holds the International Professional Forum RISK MANAGEMENT IN RUSSIA AND THE CIS and, as part of it, the international competition The Best Risk Management. RusRisk is a regular participant of the FERMA forums.

The RusRisk training course was declared winner in the category Best Risk Training Programme (The StrategicRISK European Risk Management Awards 2010). We are actively involved, on the part of Russia, in the activities of Technical Committee 262: Risk management, International Organization for Standardization, including, among other things, the development of ISO 31004. Our members (L. Belousova, under the guidance of Dr. Mikhail Rogov) have developed Risk Management Policy Index (RMPI) for the assessment of the development of risk management in countries and regions, and are planning to offer it to the Group of Experts on Risk Management in Regulatory Systems, The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (GRM UNECE), that has published the Financial Risk Management (FRM) and Enterprise Risk-Management (ERM) Convergence (Manifesto) Manifesto

RusRisk is continuously focusing on scientific and methodological aspects of risk management, including consideration of human factors based on the global risk factor theory (space weather, for more information go at /broken-link/), time series data miningcrowdsourcing, etc. The conducted research has shown that the key drivers of RMPI are the development of regulatory framework (including standards), the development of risk management in medium and small business (SME), and the range of industry coverage. Therefore, based on best practices we developed and approved a national professional standard in 2012. We are going to organize voluntary certification and prepare university educational programs. In 2013-2014, we intend to develop a set of national standards on risk management in close cooperation with the national agency for standardization.
