rimap® equivalences

Who can take the exam?

The exam is open to individuals who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Professional experience: At least 5 years of relevant risk management experience.
  • Academic or Professional training: Completion of specific studies, such as the UB programme or the AGERS in-company preparation course.
  • Language: The exam is conducted in Spanish.

  • Frequency: Twice a year

    • 5 June 2025

    • 6 November 2025

To confirm your eligibility, we’ll ask for:

  • Your CV and ID
  • Proof of professional experience, ethical standards, and/or validated studies (according to AGERS and FERMA criteria)

AGERS is committed to helping you succeed. When you register through AGERS, you’ll receive:

  • Study materials in Spanish and English
  • Access to mock exams via an online platform
  • A 2-hour session with a certified trainer to resolve doubts before the exam
  • An intensive in-company prep course for groups (optional)
  • Two attempts to pass the exam
Who can take the exam?

The ALP (Anra Learning Path) modular training course is designed for professionals who have already acquired basic Risk Management skills, such as:

  • Risk and Insurance Managers
  • CFOs
  • Consultants
  • Risk Management and Insurance Service Providers
  • Language: The course is delivered in Italian.
  • Frequency: Two editions per year
  • Course Schedule:
    • 1st Edition: January to June
    • 2nd Edition: July to December
    • Each edition includes five modules, usually held monthly (excluding April and August).

Participants can register directly on ANRA’s website

Participants will receive:

  • All supporting materials (slides, templates, technical papers) used by lecturers
  • Access to resources via the Moodle learning platform

Who can take the exam?

The rimap® equivalence course is organised by the Malta Association of Risk Management (MARM) in collaboration with the University of Malta.
It is available under two course titles:
INS5022 – Advanced Enterprise Risk Management
ISR5037 – Risk Management

Language: English
Frequency:

  • Applications open in May for the October session
  • Applications open in December for the February session
  • A special intensive edition is held annually in July in collaboration with ANRA.

Applications can be submitted online via the University of Malta’s website.

Participants will benefit from:

  • Full access to the University’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
  • A University email address
  • Access to internet via EDUROM at any university
  • Access to the online University Library (HYDI)
  • On-site university facilities

Ad-hoc courses (physical, hybrid, online) can be arranged for companies with sufficient participants.

Course materials are developed with FERMA experts and include:

  • Practical case studies
  • Tools and strategies
  • Risk frameworks, standards, and policies

Successful completion grants:

  • A Certificate in Professional Risk Management by FERMA
  • A Master’s Level (EQF Level 7) Qualification from the University of Malta
  • 25 CPD hours

rimap® licensed programs

AIG Risk Management Academy (ARMA)

Since 2017, FERMA supports AIG Risk Management Academy through the rimap® CPD license. ARMA programme is a modular, international training course delivered by AIG to support the continuous professional development of risk professionals. Participants who complete the programme can earn up to 24 rimap® CPD points, reinforcing their professional skills and demonstrating their commitment to excellence in risk management.

FERMA-Lloyd’s Professional Development Programme

For over a decade, FERMA and Lloyd’s have partnered to offer a unique development opportunity for European risk managers, the FERMA-Lloyd’s Professional Development Programme. This rimap® licensed programme provides hands-on exposure to the Lloyd’s market in London, exploring emerging risk management practices, and engaging with international insurance regulations. Held over three sessions across a year, the programme supports networking and peer learning, while awarding CPD points towards the rimap® certification maintenance.

The rimap® CPD license is a mark of quality and recognition, ensuring your training or event aligns with the highest standards of professional development in risk management. Licensed activities count towards rimap® CPD hours, reinforcing your commitment to lifelong learning and supporting the professional growth of your participants.

CPD Licence – Educational programmes

Enhance the value of your training courses by offering recognised CPD hours through the rimap® Educational Programme Licence. Designed for both external and in-house programmes of at least 10 hours, this licence ensures your content, trainers, and learning objectives are thoroughly reviewed by FERMA. This review process guarantees alignment with the rimap® Body of Knowledge and helps maintain a high standard of quality.

Participants can also request a certificate of attendance for added recognition. The licence fee is €1000 per day.

CPD Licence – Industry conferences & events

Add credibility and professional recognition to your industry events with the rimap® CPD Licence. Ideal for conferences offering up to 8 hours of content, this licence confirms that your event meets FERMA’s CPD standards. It also allows you to promote your event using the rimap® logo and provide participants with official certificates.

We offer flexible pricing starting from €500, depending on the number of events you licence each year.
