The Underestimated Challenge: Risk and insurance communication in a hardening market

The hard insurance market is pushing the risk and insurance manager to communicate the implications for the business with senior management.

The discussion is no longer about the premium but has to go into more depth and in the right languages for the board and for senior management. This workshop, therefore, addressed three questions:

  • What are some general tips for risk managers to better communicate with senior management?
  • How can you best speak about insurance and risk to top executives?
  • What information is a CFO expecting to receive?

Moderator, Laurent Nihoul, General Manager – Corporate Risk and Insurance, ArcelorMittal

Speakers: Kerry Balenthiran, Group Manager, Business Risk Consulting FM Global; Alessandro De Felice, Chief Risk Officer, Prysmian and President of ANRA; and Michael Samonas; Group CFO, Sidma
