Swiss Re Corporate Solutions received FERMA’s first ever product innovation award, launched at the 2011 Risk Management Forum, for its non-damage business interruption cover that allows the aviation industry to mitigate risks associated with unexpected natural events, such as volcanic ash cloud.
Outgoing FERMA President Peter den Dekker presented the award to Fred Kleiterp (Head of EMEA & Asia Pacific, Managing Director, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions) during the on the final day of the Forum, which took place in Stockholm from 2-5 October. Contenders for the award had just three minutes to present their product or service innovation to risk managers and try to get their votes.
Swiss Re Corporate Solutions was a gold sponsor of the 2011 Forum and participated with panel members in two workshops: “Latest Issues of Solvency II on Captives” and “Innovation in the insurance industry –wishful thinking or a realistic perspective?”
