The 2012 FERMA Benchmarking Survey conducted in May and June received a record number of 809 responses. The results of the 41 questions about the risk and risk management and risk managers’ views of insurance will be the centrepiece of the FERMA Seminar taking place in Versailles on 22 and 23 October.
This is the sixth time that FERMA has carried out the survey, conducted in collaboration with AXA Corporate Solutions and Ernst & Young, and on each occasion the number of participants has risen significantly. The 2010 survey had 782 responses.
More than 300 risk and insurance managers had already registered to attend the Seminar and to hear the announcement of the results by mid-September. The Seminar is a free event for risk and insurance managers only held every two years. The programme is now in place for the event and is available at www.ferma-seminar.eu.
Cristina Martinez, FERMA board member with responsibility for the survey commented: “Getting the thoughts from more than 800 European risk managers is the greatest opportunity and least expensive way for us to capitalise on others’ experiences. We aim for clarity over trends so risk managers can tackle mixed messages about how risk management is truly evolving across the EU.”
