FERMA Launches the Next Gen European Risk Council

A flagship initiative designed to give visibility, skills, and a strong European voice to the next generation of risk leaders.

 

Starting in April 2026, the Next Gen European Risk Council will bring together young risk managers from across Europe to help shape the future of the profession, foster innovation, and strengthen cross-border collaboration.

Why apply?

By joining the NextGen Risk Council, participants will:

  • Receive high-level training from leading risk management professionals
  • Participate in two funded in-person meetings
  • Contribute to the production of a flagship paper to be presented at the FERMA Forum in Rotterdam at the end of 2026
  • Strengthen their professional profile and leadership skills

 

Who can apply?
Candidates must:

  • Have 3–5 years of professional experience in risk or insurance management
  • Be under 35 years old on 31 December 2026
  • Have the full support of their employer and National Association
  • Be fluent in English
  • Demonstrate strong motivation, communication, and teamwork skills

 

Selection process & timeline

  • Applications should be submitted via your FERMA National Association, following their process and instructions.
  • If your country does not have a National Association, candidates may apply directly to FERMA at mariam.nozadze@ferma.eu. by 11 March. 
  • Applications must include a CV and short motivation item (email, letter, or video: max 2 minutes).
  • Final selection announced: Wednesday, 18 March 2026

FERMA will cover:

  • Hotel accommodation
  • Meeting venues
  • Meals and drinks during working sessions
  • Travel costs are covered by participants, their employer, or National Association.
