European insurance industry supports FERMA Forum

The insurance industry wants to respond to the needs of commercial insurance buyers, says the President of FERMA Jorge Luzzi. “They have shown their interest in the exceptional level of support which we have already secured for the 2013 FERMA Risk Management Forum” he said.

The Forum runs from 29 September to 2 October in Maastricht, and already FERMA has matched the success of the Stockholm Forum with seven Platinum and a total of 12 Gold and Silver sponsors. The Platinum sponsors are ACE, Aon, JLT, Lloyd’s, Marsh, XL Group and Zurich.

There are only three booths still free in the exhibition area, the European Marketplace, and only a handful of specific branding opportunities remain available.

ACE is encouraging diversity and career development in insurance and risk management by sponsoring the Ladies’ Lunch and Young Professionals’ Breakfast.

In addition to the overall sponsorship, sponsors have taken advantage of some of the usual – and less usual opportunities for promotion at the event, which is expected to attract more than 1500 insurance and risk professionals from across Europe and beyond.

Since this is the Netherlands, XL Group is branding bikes for delegates to get around the city, and it’s also offering them ice cream refreshments from dedicated trollies in the European Marketplace.
Zurich will have its name on the conference centre windows and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has branded the stairs; perhaps a reference to the absence of mountains from this part of Europe! JLT’s name will be on the delegates’ lanyards.

Lloyd’s is coming in strength, bringing 10 different underwriters to its large stand. Aon has sponsored the Monday evening ‘apero’ in the Marketplace, and SCOR has sponsored the cyber zone. Marsh will have a large stand and hospitality suite.

Jorge Luzzi said: “We are delighted with the level of support from the industry for FERMA. It allows us to organise an event that is truly pan-European in its scope. FERMA continues to grow in strength”.
