The European business has a total of €15bn of cross channel trade and employs 15,000 UK staff. In June, Airbus took the step of publishing their Brexit risk assessment and we have spoken to Thierry Justice, Head of Insurance Risk Management in order to discuss this.

European Risk Management Seminar 2018 – Learning and expanding skills on cyber and sustainability

Reports on the two 2018 FERMA European Risk Management Seminar themes, sustainability and cyber risks, are being sent to Seminar delegates this week. They will be available later on the FERMA website. The Seminar hosted more than 200 participants from 17 countries in Antwerp on 9 and 10 October. Emphasis was placed on learning and expanding skills to enable risk managers to seize the opportunities that emerging risks provide.

Excellence in Risk Management Awards and Gala Dinner – 21 November

Risk professionals from all over Europe are preparing for the 2018 FERMA-Commercial Risk Europe (CRE) risk management awards and gala dinner, which will take place in Brussels on 21 November. The President of FERMA Jo Willaert will present five excellence in risk management awards: risk manager of the year, lifetime achievement, rising star, innovative insurance programme of the year and a new category, emerging risk initiative of the year.
